Well we just had to stop in at JB’s Lounge and get a dose of Bob Jones and the Chosen Few. What I’ve been missing is that great sound that of blues and funk. Bob and the boys sure can put on a good show. The place was packed with good fun loving people. It was great seeing the band and they greeted us with open arms as they always do when we see them. These players got down tonight and played my favorite song as only they can play it. Bob said he already knew what to play the moment he saw us. they played it so well I wish I had recorded it. All the singers new and old sang their hearts out that night.
Tim Baker belted out those smooth Frankie Beverly songs with conviction. lol Lady G….she was on point tonight and had us all grooving to some Chaka Khan! Lena Mosley, Duchess Vaughn and a few others graced the stage as well. It was a great night and that old familiar feeling of being where I belonged felt real good. These guys….Bob Jones, Tim Baker, Duane Brown and Eric Everett will always be in my radar. Yeah, Bob choose the few just right! Great combination of artists.
