The Delta King may have been built in 1927, but in 2016 they were “Jammin’ on the Delta King Friday night .We were invited out for the evening by friend Anita Beverly for some entertainment. We were greeted by at the door by the lovely Angela Lofton- Berry Moore. The event was Presented by Wise Words with OneGone Show, Saxual 1 Productions and Liquid Chocolate. It’s a monthly event and man what an amazing show!
Dru Burks & Tootie Our host for the evening was comedian Dru Burks, this guy kept us laughing throughout the whole evening. I enjoyed all the artists tonight and I was especially surprised by a few I hadn’t heard before. Lenoris Pdub Louis had the vocal range singing “Do Me Baby” by Prince with Davina Bryd and Vickee Love backing him up beautifully. Pryncess Hall was in the building doing her thang as well as Akronems. Brian The Balladeer was a new listen for us. He has a distinctive sound that is pleasing and makes you take note! But this little lady Larriah! Eleven years old, yes I said eleven! She blew the “roof of the ship” singing Happy by Pharrell . Everybody was up and on their feet and Darlene Tellis, you have to hear her to believe it, she has outstanding vocals! They all were in collaboration and provided excellent entertainment.
Jammin' On The Delta King Then enters Coon – The Poet, from the entrance to the stage spreading his message of LOVE. Shawn Raiford was the Captain on the ship for tonight steering everything in the right direction. He’s handl’n business , and the band is on point. O’dell Ross was on fire! Oh UB Media had the opportunity to meet Roketa Raiford and ran into a few good friends on board! Sue Smith, Mech Sherles and her family and a few others. We had a great time at a great show. We’ll keep you posted for the March Delta King event! A most enjoyable evening out.

Look who we ran into!
